I received a phone call from a client who wanted his treadmill control board checked by a technician.
I scheduled
him the following day since I was busy at the time.
The
following day I visited the company where he works, the treadmill was used as the
worker's gym facility.
On arrival, I
found the board was already taken out of the treadmill and in his
office.
I did some
initial tests and found IGBT (K50DDTP), an Insulated-gate bipolar
transistor dead short.
I tested
other components and all looked good according to my meter, Customer pointed
out that the main circuit breaker tripped when the treadmill was powered.
