LG DVD PLAYER MP3 AUX 3 BAND RADIO CASSETTE PLAYER with “No Disc” symptoms repaired

HI MR KIMATHI I am repairing a LG DVD PLAYER MP3 AUX   3 BAND RADIO CASSETTE PLAYER so and so...

My first problem was the set was completely dead with no life at all.

I found 5 volt regulator ic that was not working in power supply of the set by changing this ic, The micro started to work and set return to life but not completely.

The CD.DVD player start to show me on the screen “NO DISC” ok according to the book I check the motors they were not bad.

I start to clean the lens of the set now no disc error is gone and cd player start to work and say is LOADING but after seconds stop working and remain on this mode...

If you can help me what to do next I will be thank full of you
regards
beh

Hi Beh,

That is job well done, now the main suspect could be the lens itself is weak.

Regards Humphrey

HI HUMPHERY
do you mean I replace the lens? Let me tell you this, the spindle motor has 12 ohm by DMM and is rotating by analog ohm meter but not very fast, I suspect the motor more than lens.

beh

Hi Beh

If the spindle motor is suspect then it should take some time for the machine to say...***LOADING***around 2 minutes before giving up.
But from what you say is that this symptom is instant...I mean the machine begins to read and notices very fast that something is wrong.

Also if the inside of the lens has a foreign object then it will behave as if the lens is faulty also...maybe cockroach has gone in there and stained the inside of the lens.

Regards Humphrey

Hi Humphrey
………...I blow it with strong blower and now system is better and  cd player is working
and thanks for your suggestion s  by the way do like I send you this repair as report?.....

Hi Beh,
