How to write a blog from the scratch using blogger from google

First welcome to the world of blogging, in this lesson I will show you how to make your own blog in a short period almost effortlessly.

Worry not this course does not require any special knowledge in programming language/html codes etc.
To begin with you will need to open an account (email) with Google which is absolutely free.

To open a Gmail account you can sign up here by clicking the link below).

There you will be able to create (or open) a Gmail account if you don’t have one already.

If you have one just log on normally and check out on your right hand side a group of squares and click on them.

When you click on them you will get a drop down with more options (icons). Click blogger icon as shown below.

After that you will have another screen where you will be able to confirm your profile.
Click Create a Google+ profile

Another screen will pop up where you can review you profile and then click upgrade.
You don’t need to worry here because you can always go back and edit if need be.

Now your profile has taken shape and if you have a picture on your Gmail profile then it should appear here.

If you don’t have one you have an option to take one using your phone or upload one from your computer.

You may also want to update where you went to school and colleges but again this in not compulsory. Also remember to update where you live.

If you are happy with that just click finish to save your profile.

Here you will see your profile as it will appear to the readers when you post an article.

Click “continue to blogger” to continue
Click the icon “new blog” to get started with the world of blogging.

Here you will be able to give a blog title and address…you can use any title you want but for the address this is unique in that it will be an address which is unique all over the world…example

You don’t need to type the full name…blogger automatically add the extension (.blogspot.com) for all blogs hosted by blogger.

If you enter a name at the address, it will respond if the name is available or not.

If you get not available it means that name has already been used by someone else and you should pick another name till you get an available name.

You can now also chose the template of your blog like simple, dynamic etc.

I would advise you to stick to simple for now until you have enough exposure, then you can play around others and see which best suit you.

Happy? Click create blog. If you have come all the way it is now time to sit back and congratulate yourself with a cup of coffee for the job well done.

You are now about to be the next blogger in town….
If all is well you should be seeing this screen, click close…

After clicking close you will be taken on to another new screen shown below.

You can call this screen housekeeping screen, this is where you will be able to do all the housekeeping work like pages, layout, and settings, new post etc.

You may click all the titles here to see what more you can do on each title.

You are now ready to do your first post by clicking new post.

You can type an article using MS word and copy and paste it on the blog body.

All your blog should have a title and that it same as the URL of that post.

When you are happy with your post you can click preview button and if you are happy with it then you can click publish button.

Once the publish button is clicked you are now ON AIR so to speak and your article will appear all over the world.

Anyone with an internet connection can be able to read your articles or see you pictures you have published.

My dear friends and fellow bloggers, we have come to the end of this course on blogging.

Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors
